Don’t even know prices or anything like that, but he was mentioning earlier. Yeah, I know. PSC is good. I also Mathews is good. I have an older brother that hunts that just got a brand new Mathews. So I kind of let you do your thing and tell me because I don’t. It’s been so long. Yeah. Okay.
like to pose to the female. I got the 3133 and 35. Personally, I like the 33 and the 35 more than the 31.
Kyle Kimbriel 1:07
It’s just a little bit more stable a little smoother on the drop. Okay. So you can set up 33? Probably, it’s gonna be the closest Matthews, I think as far as the field. Okay. And what’s like the differences in 33? Just exercises? Bow, or is it? Yes, for the most part is just the actual size of the riser. So this one’s two inches longer axle to axle. So from that point right there, okay for that one, okay. So generally longer the boat, the more stable feels.
Kyle Kimbriel 1:39
So a lot of like, East for guys out west, get a longer axial axial load because you’re getting generally shooting longer distances,
Kyle Kimbriel 1:47
Then, they kind of like almost a target setup. So longer stabilizers, adjustable sights. Stuff like that. Where back east usually shoot a shorter bow. Because you’re in like a tree stand or any kind of ones. Okay, and you’re only shooting.
Kyle Kimbriel 2:07
So what would you recommend out here a little bit longer distance a little more wide open type thing?
Yeah. So the 33 is great for that. I shouldn’t 33 axle axle, it gets stability.
Kyle Kimbriel 2:20
so then I run a 10 inch stabilizer. And that’s the piece that comes out the front. Yep. It’s waited to help. Yeah. Now bring your eyes and look at me. And now without looking at your hand. Bring your hand up and look at me. Yes, your left eye. So generally, you want to shoot left handed.
Kyle Kimbriel 2:39
Unfortunately, right now, I think we only have like, maybe one maybe two bows, okay, either left handed.
Kyle Kimbriel 2:48
Now, how much would it matter?
If you can shoot right handed, like you can try it, we’ll set one up. The only difference is like a rifle, you have the scope to look through a lot easier to use your non dominant eye, you have a peep sight on here. So you can leave both eyes open. If you’re not really paying attention and you shoot out the wrong eye, you’re gonna hit like five, six feet to the left and right.
Have you ever used a release before?
Kyle Kimbriel 3:38
Its been a long time?
And then when you get back to it the first you want this knuckle and underneath your ear and your jaw. And then pretty close. Just want everything to be nice and relaxed. Okay? And don’t don’t do straightening out. Yeah, see, see this line right here. So you want to keep it on the downside and the Meteor. Okay, with your hands with your fingers kind of 45 degree angles. That’ll keep you in this good distance away from the string there. Okay? also reduce torque.
Kyle Kimbriel 4:30
Okay, now when you pull back, up?
so you kind of want to jot down a little bit worse on shoulders a little bit harder to draw. So you want to draw a little bit over the target. Not like in the sky or anything. But you want to come down. When you’re drawing back like when you’re actually anchored. You should be pretty much on target already.
Kyle Kimbriel 4:55
That way you don’t have to move around a whole bunch
Kinda, how is that there? And then, uh, can you see my hand is on this side?
Kyle Kimbriel 5:08
that’s kind of open underneath my ear. It’ll get my job. Okay. And just string. I know it’s hard with the mask on. So it’s cutting a corner on a mouth in the tip of my nose right there.
Kyle Kimbriel 5:21
And so that’s pretty much what you’re looking for. And then you just want to kind of squeeze. Okay? Yep. I don’t want to tuck your finger on the behind that. Yep, just like that.
Kyle Kimbriel 5:33
So that otherwise it would reach it correct. Okay, and then.
so you want to tuck in closer to your ear there?
Kyle Kimbriel 5:47
Pretty close. But you want to we want you to nose the touch about right there. Okay, that’s gonna be pretty close. It all line up a lot better once you put like a peek in there. Okay.
Kyle Kimbriel 6:01
Yeah, so you’d be able to see your sights and yeah, it’s just let it go.
Yep. Perfect. Try with the other release. actually get a shot off here. Go
Kyle Kimbriel 6:40
All right. Yeah. Yeah, I think so. Like I think it’d be much easier with the site. Correct. I have something thing.
Yeah, but there’ll be a nice pretty good.
Kyle Kimbriel 7:40
That’s pretty good.
Yeah, actually, I like this one better. I like this one.
Chris Klok 8:22
What about it?
Kyle Kimbriel 8:24
It just feels a little smoother pullback and shooting and seemed like has a lot of call attention or Yeah, vibration or anything.
Yeah, it’s got 90% a lot off. At least 85 on the Mathews a little bit more. Which means you’re not holding as much when you’re back there. Okay. And then the grip is I like this grip a little bit better. My hands personally.
Are you gonna run 60 lbs for a while or what do you think I should?
Kyle Kimbriel 9:33
what’s legal hunting?
30. So yeah, you’re good on hunting. Generally want to shoot as much as you can comfortably. Okay. Don’t want to be struggling to draw back but you don’t want to shoot like some super easy.
Kyle Kimbriel 9:45
I’ll probably do 60 for a little while until I get
a good idea. TKL really solid, five millimeters. So each standard six gold tip 100 would be, you’re going to get a little bit better penetration because there’ll be an insert on here. So it’d be like six millimeters. And then it’ll taper down flush with the arrow. So punch a hole in the arrow, just slip in, you get super good penetration with it. So this would be
Kyle Kimbriel 10:29
cool. And I can practice with those as well.
So when you draw back, just kind of anchor how you were, you can remember and then you want to be looking through this and that’s alright, if it doesn’t line up or it’s too high or too low. I can fix that for you. You want to be using the very top pin.
Kyle Kimbriel 11:13
So start out. Okay. Then I switch to the pin.
Yep. Yep. So you want this to be around that housing up this looks like it’s too high, probably for ya.
Kyle Kimbriel 11:34
which I need to learn and get my finger off the trigger
And then if you want to bring your head down just a little bit in touch, if you notice this string here, you see through that?
Kyle Kimbriel 11:46
And lines up good.
Kyle Kimbriel 11:49
Seems like it Yeah. All right.
So I’m on the top pin
go Yeah. Shoot it one more time.
Kyle Kimbriel 12:20
So is that 250 feet per second
Brady Speth 12:38
Javelina 2021. Got my year wrong. gassed up, iced up, rigged a ready.
